However, Heritage Liberia does not control each and every risk related to the use of the Internet, and therefore warns the Site users of the potential risks involved in the functioning and use of the Internet.

The Heritage Liberia website may include links to other websites or other internet sources. As Heritage Liberia cannot control these websites and external sources, Heritage Liberia cannot be held responsible for the provision or display of these websites and external sources, and may not be held liable for the content, advertising, products, services or any other material available on or from these websites or external sources.

If the Site users provide unique identifying information, such as name, address and other information on contact forms stored on this Site, such information will be used only for the purposes for which it was provided, for any compatible purposes and to fulfil our legal obligations unless you have agreed for your data to be used for other purposes. USE OF GOOGLE MAPS

This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually, where required. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of map functions by visitors. For more information about how Google processes your information, please see Google Privacy Notice. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the Data Protection Center.

EMBEDDED SOCIAL MEDIA

YouTube

On our Site, we embed YouTube videos. YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA is the operator of the corresponding plug-ins. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to Youtube servers is established. Youtube will be informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior. Whoever has deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program will also not have to reckon with such cookies when viewing YouTube videos. Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in your browser.

Further information about data protection at “YouTube” can be found at the data protection declaration of the provider.

Facebook

Our Site contains plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When you visit our Site, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our Site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or of their use by Facebook. You can find further information on this in the facebook data protection declaration at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to associate your visit to our Site with your Facebook account, please log out of your Facebook account.

Social Media Buttons

Social plugins are used on our Site. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo.

These plugins may be used to send information, which may include personal data, to the service provider and may be used by him. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider through a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding button. Only this activation of the plugin triggers the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider. We do not collect any personal data ourselves using the social plugins or about their use.

We have no influence on which data an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. At present, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services will be expanded and that at least the IP address and device-related information will be recorded and used. It is also possible that the service providers try to save cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the data protection information of the respective service provider to find out which specific data is collected and how it is used.

We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • Instagram

GOOGLE ADWORDS

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords sets a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a User clicks on an ad served by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the User visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the User has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be traced through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which Users can be personally identified.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example via browser settings that generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies or set your browser in a way that cookies are blocked by the “googleleadservices.com” domain.

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

CHANGES TO DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS

We reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply for your next visit.
